Ipswich Housing Authority (IHA) is committed to helping residents achieve their goals and assisting residents when obstacles or difficulties arise. Through the MHA’s Resident Services Coordinators, residents can receive free and confidential assistance. Service Coordinators can assess your individual situation and help locate the assistance available for that need.

The Open Door Food Pantry

The Ipswich Community Food Pantry is located at the Southern Heights development and provides free, three-to-five-day supplies of emergency groceries to income-qualified residents of our service area.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

Acord Food Pantry

Clients may shop once per week on any of the three days we’re open and may choose from a variety of items we offer: fresh dairy, eggs, meat, fish, fresh produce, and shelf-stable items such as pasta, rice, cereal, and more.

Ipswich Caring

Ipswich Caring is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization that relies on charitable donations from individuals, foundations and local businesses to fulfill its mission. For more than forty years, Ipswich Caring has been a volunteer Board of Directors with a singular goal and commitment to assist Ipswich families in need. With the dedication and generous support of more than 200 volunteers each year, Ipswich Caring provides financial and in-kind support to youth, adults and families through a variety of programs and services.

Housing Mediation Services

Mediation is a free, voluntary, and confidential process where, with the help of a neutral third party (the mediator), you can resolve an existing or potential problem. It allows you to be heard and develop solutions together to resolve your problems. Examples of problems are neighbor disputes and tenants facing eviction.

Second Glance Thrift Store ONLY serves residents of Gloucester, Rockport, Manchester-by-the-Sea, Essex, Ipswich, Rowley, Topsfield, Boxford, Hamilton, or Wenham.
